Data Deletion Request

Samui Housing respects your right to control your personal data.


What Data We Store

When you sign in via Facebook (or any social provider), we store:

  • Your name and email address as provided by Facebook.
  • Property listings you submitted.
  • Enquiries or messages sent through the platform.
  • Membership payment records (required by financial regulations).

We do not store your Facebook User ID, password, or any Facebook-specific tokens.

Option 1 — Remove via Facebook

You can trigger an automatic data deletion request directly from Facebook. Facebook will notify us and we will process the deletion within 30 days.

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings (facebook.com/settings).
  2. Click Security and LoginApps and Websites.
  3. Find Samui Housing in the list and click Remove.
  4. Tick "Also delete all your [App Name] activities" and confirm.

Facebook will then send an automatic deletion request to our servers and you will receive a confirmation link.

OR

Option 2 — Delete Your Account Directly

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data directly from us:

Email us from the address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

What Happens After a Deletion Request

Data Type Action Timeframe
Account (name, email, password) Permanently deleted / anonymised Within 30 days
Property listings Removed from public view and deleted Within 30 days
Contact enquiries Deleted Within 30 days
Payment records Anonymised (required by financial law) Retained 7 years, then deleted
Server / access logs Auto-purged per server rotation policy Up to 90 days
